Yup, you read right. This journal is retiring from business. That doesn't mean that I'm deleting it, oh no, just that I won't update anymore.

You see, I'm changing my username. The one I have now I took on a whim when I was fourteen, and I thought it was time to change it to something more neutral; and without numbers. So, my new username is [info]anna_bm. If you want to keep watching me, please add that journal to your friends list; but only if you want to, of course.

Well, I don't know if I have anything more to say, really.
Wait, there is one more thing; I still have the same e-mail, if anyone's interested. Okay, that's all.

Movie Review: Batman Begins  
I saw "Batman Begins" yesterday. I did that despite the fact that I dislike superheroes, and that I hate action and thrillers. But I found myself enjoying it. Immensely.

Musicspam  
I browsed through my collection of Kent albums and I stumbled across the song "Berg&Dalvana" ("Rollercoaster" in English). And because time is not a fixed construct and I live in all four seasons of House MD at once, I immediately started to think of the S4 finale. It has such a pretty melody, and the lyrics are both wistful and bitter at the same time.

And then there is the amazing song "Mannen I Den Vita Hatten (16 År Senare)" ("The Man In The White Hat (16 Years Later)"), also by Kent, that is far more cheerful and optimistic. It really screams 'Us Against The World', in my opinion. It's a lovely song that fits House and Wilson's story pre-show.

Fandom Collision, Again  
Because I obsessively look for connections everywhere. This time, I’ve discovered that all of my OTPs include one – and only one – partner that will unfortunately die prematurely.

In Metal Gear Solid, Snake was inflicted with FoxDie; a virus that will kill him at some point, although the timing will be completely random. He is also a clone, which makes him age far too quick. Thus, he will leave poor Otacon all alone before Hal has even reached middle-age.

In Harry Potter, Remus suffers from lycanthropy, which wears terribly on the body. In the last scene he's in in the movie, he is walking out of the classroom leaning on a cane. And the whole description of “young face etched with lines” and “brown hair flecked with gray” isn’t helping either. Sirius will be left alone frighteningly soon, and that is on top of their 12 years apart. (Because everything that happened after PoA didn’t happen.)

In House MD, House’s liver will give up within a few years. And since he’s an addict, he won’t get a transplant. And then there is also the constant playing with death by submitting himself to dangerous experiments, the organ-donor-on-wheels he is so fond of, the generally self-destructive life-style and the fact that you can always get hit by a bus (which is… a disturbing simile to use after the season finale). And poor Wilson will be left alone with no one.

Taking A Walk Down 'Memory Lane'  

As I've mentioned before, I've only recently found out that Stephen Fry has read the Harry Potter books (yes, I know, I'm incredibly slow -- I'm a foreigner; what can I do?) and since Fry is the definition of 'Awsome', I hurried down to the head library. To my great joy, they indeed had the audio books. It took me almost no time at all to decide to loan "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", since it was and is still my favourite part of the series.

Preferences and Pet Peeves in Fanfiction  
First of all, I'm bored since the summer holidays have started and I have nothing to do. Secondly, I'm a bit narcissistic. Thirdly, I think it's time for me to finally use this journal for something. 
Thus, I'm posting a list of what I like and dislike in [House MD] fanfiction. And since I have opinions about everything and don't know how to shut up, it ended up with 33 matters...

Fandom Collision  
In Metal Gear Solid, it's canon that Solid Snake's real name is David (although everyone calls him "Dave" for some reason...). Liquid Snake's -- Snake's "evil" twin-brother/twin-clone -- most popular fanon-name is James.

In House MD, Wilson's full name is James Evan Wilson. His long lost brother's most popular fanon-name is David.

Today I found "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", my favorite book in the series, read by Stephen Fry a.ka. The Man Made Of Awsome. Yay!
